Macchiato – 5 Senses – Joe Black (32/40)

With the whimsical tastes of the Costa Rica single origin still lingering, I thought is worth trying out the house blend, 5 Senses, as a macchiato. Like the previous double espresso, this coffee too was a bit of a surprise. Now with the addition of milk, behind the creamy, warm and pleasurable mouth feel was a slight whack of fruitiness. While it is obviously difficult to sense underlying flavours in a milk coffee, it was refreshing to have some of the quite notes peek through the haze (much better than the industrial burnt rubber you find many cafes using as their mainstay blend). In a word…”Yum”.
