Double Espresso – Burundi Cup of Excellence – Single Origin Roasters

While it started reasonably well, floral notes hitting the back of my nose, and a smooth caramel melting on my tongue, the darkness of the caramel started to overpower the underlying flavours of the coffee. As a cup of excellence, I feel like either my expectations were too high, or perhaps I just lucked out.

While certainly not a bad coffee, it didn’t really “wow” me…
